Newborn Portraits

Capturing the wonder and joy of Childhood

The first few days of your baby’s life are a whirlwind of tiny toes, sleepy stretches, and a love that feels infinite. These moments are beautiful, but they are also fleeting. Professional newborn portraits allow you to freeze time, transforming these precious early details into timeless artwork that your family will treasure for generations.

The Experience

Newborn photography is more than just a photo shoot; it’s about preserving the fleeting details of your baby’s first days—the tiny toes, the soft wisps of hair, and the quiet peace of a sleeping infant. Whether you prefer a Posed Studio Session with curated props and artistic wraps or a Lifestyle Home Session that captures candid moments in your own nursery, my goal is to create timeless heirlooms for your family.

When to Book

Because babies have their own schedules, I recommend reaching out during your second or third trimester to ensure a spot on my calendar.

  • The “Sweet Spot”: Most sessions take place when your baby is between 5 and 14 days old. This is when they are sleepiest and most naturally flexible for those iconic curled-up poses.
  • Flexibility: We will pencil in a tentative date based on your due date and finalize the actual session time once your little one officially arrives.

Safety First

Your baby’s safety and comfort are my absolute top priorities.

  • Expert Handling: I am trained in safe newborn posing and infant soothing techniques.
  • Comfortable Environment: For studio sessions, the room is kept at a cozy 75–80°F to keep the baby warm and sleepy.
  • Sanitization: All props, blankets, and wraps are thoroughly sanitized between every use.

What to Expect

  • Duration: Newborn sessions are unhurried and typically last 2 to 4 hours. This allows plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes, and soothing.
  • The Setting: I provide a wide range of high-quality props, including hand-knit bonnets, delicate wraps, and rustic baskets.
  • Family Inclusion: I love including parents and siblings in the session to document the beginning of your new family dynamic.

How to Prepare

A few days before your session, you’ll receive a detailed Session Guide with tips on What to Wear and how to prep your baby (like a full feeding right before we begin) to ensure a smooth, sleepy shoot.

How much is your session fee

The in studio session fee is $250. There is a $40 fee for travel for in home sessions
